Top 5 Things Brides Forget on Their Wedding Day

Planning a wedding is no small feat — and with so many moving parts, it’s totally normal for a few things to slip through the crack. As a wedding coordinator, I’ve seen it all… so here are 5 things brides commonly forget (but definitely shouldn’t):

Large sage green wedding seating chart display with the words “We Saved You A Seat” in white serif font. Guest names are organized by last name and printed on six white columns attached to the board. The display is accented with blush, peach, and yellow florals in small wooden planter boxes, set on a paved path with greenery in the background
  1. A Pretty Hanger for the Dress
    • Your photographer will definitely snap a dress shot. Don’t let a plastic hanger steal the moment. A wooden or custom hanger makes a HUGE difference in your getting-ready photos.
  2. A Full, Ready-to-Go Emergency Kit
    • Think stain remover, double-sided tape, blister patches, deodorant, clear nail polish, and mini scissors. If you book coordination, I always bring one stocked and ready!
  3. A Plan for Who’s Taking the Gifts & Decor Home
    • At the end of the night, the last thing you want is to be sorting through florals and card boxes. Assign a trusted friend or family member to help — or let your coordinator handle it.
  4. Meals for the Wedding Party
    • Getting ready takes hours. Don’t let your crew get hangry! Pre-order breakfast or lunch to keep everyone fueled and happy.
  5. Time to Breathe
    • Between hair, makeup, photos, and guests — it’s easy to forget to pause and soak it all in. Build 10 minutes into your timeline just for you two. It’s your day — you deserve to enjoy it.
